National Poetry Day
October 2020
This year feels a million months long, but October was very nice, with Blood Moon being chosen as one of the Teen Picks for National Poetry Day - a day for sharing and celebrating poetry. For this special day I wrote a poem about periods. Of course. And here are the other poetry books which were selected for National Poetry Day - all of which are absolutely excellent. |

PUBLICATION DAY!
July 2020
Okay, so we are in the middle of a pandemic, and the whole country is pretty much in lockdown, but publication week was still incredibly special. We did a Zoom-Feminist Quiz with Vagina Museum (where you can also buy my book) and an Instagram live with the lovely Gabby Edlin of Bloody Good Period. I did a couple of events for YALC - a lovely panel with Nikita Gill, Holly Bourne, Kate Weston and Anna James on Feminism in YA, and a prize giving ceremony for UKYABA. Blood Moon was reviewed in the Financial Times Life & Arts, The Irish Times and on World Book Day's Summer Reads for Teens. I also did a book signing in my back garden, a sentence I never thought I'd write. |

Cowley International College
November 2018
I had the warmest reception at Cowley International College where I ran two creative writing workshops for year 10s and 6th formers, and read from my work-in-progress, BLOOD MOON, a YA novel in verse. Thanks for having me @cowleian. |
